The week starts with new increases in fuel prices. The diesel fuel will be sold for 28.53 lei/liter, up 0.6 lei, while gasoline COR 95 will cost 25.21 lei/liter, up 0.1 lei. These are the price ceilings set by the National Agency for Energy Regulation for October 18, IPN reports.

The Agency said the oil quotations in the first half of this month remained at a high level, especially for diesel fuel, due to the expected ban on oil imports from Russia and the decision by OPEC+ to cut oil production. Consequently, the daily quotations for diesel fuel on stock exchanges reached 1,220 $/tonne.

The oil prices this year followed an upward trend, hitting a record high in June, when a liter of gasoline COR 95 cost 33.90 lei, while a liter of diesel fuel – 32.46 lei.
