A group of children with mobility and hearing impairment to rest in Switzerland

A group of children with mobility and hearing impairment, as well as healthy ones from disadvantaged families and orphans will enjoy a free travel to Appenzell canton, located in the Eastern Switzerland. The summer camp is organised by the Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child (MPSFC), in cooperation with the Switzerland-based Foundation Swisscor and with the support of the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency. According to a press release of the Ministry, the summer camp will include different activities, games and excursions. The disabled children together with the healthy ones will learn how to communicate without barriers or preconceived ideas. The medical personnel of Swisscor Foundation will provide the necessary care to the children during their stay. The children were selected from four institutions of Moldova: Centre for children with hearing impairment “Speranta” (“Hope”) from Criuleni, the Soroca-based Centre for children at risk “Azimut”, Technologic lyceum for partially blind children from Chisinau and the Boarding School for orphans from Straseni. The organisers hope that the children will return from Switzerland with unique and pleasant memories and experiences, as well as in a better health condition. 80 children will stay in Switzerland from August 2 to16.
