After processing 90% of the protocols, the difference between the "Yes" and "No" options in the referendum is 93,000 votes, IPN reports.

46.2% of voters chose the "Yes" option, and 53.8% chose the "No" option, according to the 1,998 processed protocols out of a total of 2,219.

In the referendum, voters answered "Yes" or "No" to the question: "Do you support the amendment of the Constitution to allow the Republic of Moldova to join the European Union?"

The law will be considered adopted if the majority of citizens participating in the referendum vote for it. Commentators expect that the balance could be tipped by the diaspora votes.
