Zimbru has new administration

Zimbru will have a new face next season. Moldova’s former champion has a new administration, IPN reports. From now on, the team’s destiny will be decided by several businessmen from Romania, including the manager of Rapid Valeriu Moraru.

Marin Mitran, who earlier worked for Milsami Orhei and Rapid Ghidighici, was named as vice president. Contacted by phone by IPN, Mitran said they will present the new coach of the team on June 16, at 6:30pm. He didn’t want to reveal his name, but said that he is also from Romania.

A lot of players will leave the club. They will be replaced by footballers from Romania, Portugal, Brazil and other countries. The previous season, Zimbru finished sixth.

Over 11,700 middle school graduates have been admitted to high school in the first stage of this year’s admission competition. Thus, over 84% of the planned places at the national level have been filled, and another 2,199 places remain available in the second stage of admission, which runs until August 7, reports IPN.

According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the highest occupancy rate was recorded in the real profile, where over 90% of the places were filled. At the same time, the humanist profile concentrates the largest number of admitted students, over six thousand.

The MEC data shows that 8,908 students were admitted to high schools teaching in Romanian, which represents an occupancy rate of 88.28% of the available places. In institutions teaching in Russian, the occupancy rate is almost 77%, while in those with mixed instruction – it is 56.61%.

In urban high schools, 9,382 students were admitted, while in rural ones – 2,342. However, the occupancy rate was slightly higher in high school institutions from rural localities.

This year’s admission session includes 300 high school educational institutions. The Ministry of Education recommends graduates who were not admitted in the first stage or who wish to opt for another high school to participate in the second stage of the competition. Available places can be consulted at high school educational institutions.

The Central Electoral Commission proposes to the Constitutional Court the validation of the deputy mandate returned to Victor Matraguna, substitute candidate on the lists of the Action and Solidarity Party. The decision comes after the resignation of deputy Victoria Belous, appointed as Minister of Finance, reports IPN.

Victor Matraguna was listed in position 73 on the PAS lists for the parliamentary elections in 2025. Originally from Orhei, he is a professional lawyer and holds the position of head of the Orhei Territorial Office of the State Chancellery.

The Constitutional Court is set to examine the CEC’s notification and decide on the validation of Victor Matraguna’s mandate. Also, the CC is to pronounce on Roman Roșca’s mandate, another substitute candidate on the PAS lists, following Alexandr Trubca’s resignation.
