The Paks nuclear power plant in Hungary has reduced its energy production due to the continuous drop in the Danube’s level. Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar stated that the plant’s current production is over four times smaller than the usual level, reports IPN.

According to the official, the power plant currently produces approximately 480 megawatts, compared to about two thousand megawatts under normal conditions.

Peter Magyar urged the population to follow the information broadcasted through the official channels of the Government and to respect any measures imposed by the authorities, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the uninterrupted operation of energy and water networks.

The Paks nuclear power plant is one of the main sources of electric energy in Hungary and typically provides about half of the national electricity consumption.

Individuals crossing the border with cash amounting to 10 thousand euros or more can complete, before arriving at the customs post, the currency value declaration in electronic format, reports IPN.

The Customs Service announces that the form can be submitted via the ecustoms.trade.gov.md platform. After completing and transmitting the electronic declaration, the system generates a registration number, which must be presented to the customs officer when crossing the border.

The obligation to declare applies to all persons carrying cash in the amount of at least 10 thousand euros or the equivalent value in other currencies, both when entering the Republic of Moldova and when leaving the country.

According to the authorities, the new service aims to simplify the declaration procedure, reduce the time required for customs formalities, and allow the completion of documents before reaching the border crossing point.
