The interim president of the Orhei Court, Veronica Cupcea, has undergone an external evaluation, after the Superior Council of Magistracy rejected the reevaluation report of the Vetting Commission. The SCM found that, following the recalculation of the financial situation, there is no longer any reason to maintain the decision not to promote the evaluation, reports IPN.

According to SCM, the recalculation of financial flows for the year 2020 indicated a positive balance of 19,260 lei, eliminating findings of unjustified wealth for this period. However, previous findings for the years 2013 and 2014, with a negative financial difference of 221,187 lei, remain valid.

The Council mentioned that the total value of unexplained wealth for the entire period checked is below the threshold provided by law and cannot constitute a reason for finding a lack of financial integrity.

Consequently, the SCM rejected the reassessment report of the vetting Commission and noted the promotion of external evaluation by Veronica Cupcea.

The Chisinau City Hall is expanding Mircea cel Batran Boulevard, on the section between Profesor Ion Dumeniuc and Bucovinei streets. The project envisages a complete modernization of the road infrastructure, including the arrangement of bicycle lanes, public transport stations and underground networks. For the first time in the city, the project also includes the placement of charging stations for electric vehicles along the boulevard, reports IPN.

Valentina Flueras, chief engineer at the municipal design Institute “Chisinauproject”, stated that the investment is one of the most important for the Ciocana sector and is eagerly awaited by the local residents, in the context of the rapid development of nearby residential neighborhoods.

According to this, the new section will contribute to the fluidization of traffic and will improve the connection with other important arteries of the city, including in view of the extension of the road network towards Balcani Road.

The works include the arrangement of sidewalks, green spaces, bicycle lanes, modern waiting stations, smart traffic lights, elevated pedestrian crossings and parking spaces. Also, new water, sewage, gas and electricity networks will be built.
