A Shahed type drone flew over the airspace of the Republic of Moldova last night. The incident was reported in the area of the Palanca border crossing point, IPN reports.

The General Inspectorate of the Border Police reports that the device was visually observed around 01:46 AM, crossing the country’s territory and heading towards Belgorod-Dnestrovsk. Subsequently, between 02:14 AM and 02:25 AM, it temporarily reappeared above the same area, after which it withdrew.

The aircraft was not confirmed by the National Army’s Air Operations Service, which stated that it was not detected on radars. According to authorities, in all cases it would have been the same aircraft, which was subsequently destroyed over the estuary, outside the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

The situation was constantly monitored, with no incidents recorded on the ground, and the safety of the citizens was not put at risk.

A case of airspace violation was recorded on Tuesday as well. Subsequently, throughout the day, a drone was found in Tudora, Stefan Voda district, on a field about 500 meters from the border line. It contained explosives and was detonated on the spot.

In this context, President Maia Sandu stated that the situation represents a serious violation of the airspace and a threat to the citizens. “A Russian drone found in the village of Tudora in Moldova was assessed as being loaded with explosives. Russia repeatedly violates our sovereignty and endangers the lives of our people”, emphasized the head of state.

The installation of photovoltaic systems, heat pumps, and batteries for storing electrical energy will require fewer documents and administrative procedures. The Parliament approved in the second reading a bill that simplifies the authorization of these works and establishes rules for the placement of energy storage installations, reports IPN.

One of the changes provides for the inclusion of electric energy storage installations in the category of works carried out in a simplified regime. Thus, for the installation of photovoltaic panels and heat pumps in individual houses, duplexes, terraced houses, blocks, on roofs or facades, project documentation will only be required for the electricity compartment.

The project also sets rules for the installation of storage batteries near photovoltaic parks or other energy, commercial, agricultural or industrial objectives. The technical documentation will be limited to the strictly necessary, and the authorities will not be able to request additional documents without a clear basis.

The technical requirements may include, as appropriate, aspects related to electricity, automation, building resistance, and fire protection. For systems installed in protected areas or near historical monuments, the approval of the authority for the protection of cultural heritage will be necessary.

The authors of the project, deputies of the Action and Solidarity Party, argue that simplifying procedures will accelerate investments in renewable energy and will facilitate the installation of solutions for producing and storing electrical energy.
