Fashion designer Giorgio Armani has died at the age of 91. The announcement was made on Thursday by the Armani Group. “Mr. Armani, as he has always been called with respect and admiration by employees and collaborators, passed away quietly, surrounded by loved ones. Tirelessly, he worked until the last days, devoting himself to the company, collections and various projects, always new and constantly changing,” IPN quoted a statement published on the brand’s Instagram page as saying.

The fashion designer, appreciated and respected for his professional activity, but also for the ability to interact with everyone, has left a deep mark in the industry. The family and employees of the Armani Group expressed a deep sense of grief about the designer’s passing away. They pointed out that Giorgio Armani, a company with a fifty-year history, built with emotion and patience, has always been marked by the spirit of independence of its creator, both in thought and in action, values that will also continue to be respected.

Those who want to say goodbye to the creator will be able to do so on Saturday and Sunday, from 9:00 AM to 06:00 PM, in Milan, inside Armani/Teatro. According to the designer’s wishes, the funeral will take place in a private ceremony.

Two commercial ships owned by Turkish companies were attacked by drones in the Black Sea, and several crew members were injured.
