99% of vote reports counted: Maia Sandu – 55.15%, Alexandr Stoianoglo – 44.85%

With 99.28% of the vote reports from polling stations counted, Maia Sandu is shown as the winner of the presidential elections. According to the preliminary data of the CEC, the PAS candidate won 55.15% of the ballot, while the Party of Socialists’ candidate Alexandr Stoianolgo – 44.85%, IPN reports.

The voter turnout in the presidential runoff was almost 54,3%, which is 1.698 million voters.

Voting over the ocean goes on. The last polling stations close at 7am, Moldova’s time.
