93 families from Nisporeni provided with social dwellings

As many as 93 social apartments intended for families with many children, young public functionaries and persons with disabilities, were made available for use in Nisporeni town on July 12. The apartments are ready for occupancy and are adjusted to the needs of persons with disabilities. The keys to dwellers were handed over by Prime Minister Pavel Filip in the event to inaugurate the residential complex, IPN has learned from the Government’s press service.

“We offer you a house and you should transform this into a real home. Be happy and feel at home here, near your families. The effort made by the Government is aimed at creating better living conditions for you,” stated Pavel Filip.

The Premier underlined that the supporting of young people and creation of conditions for these to remain in the country are among the Government’s priorities. In this connection, he mentioned the programs “First House” and “First House 2” that enable to purchase homes in advantageous conditions.

Pavel Filip said the Executive during the next few days will present an initiative to extend the “First House” program by offering stimuli to families with many children. The move is aimed at increasing the birth rate in Moldova.

The social apartments in Nisporeni were built with the assistance of the Council of Europe Development Bank. These were constructed at a cost €2.8 million. The authorities plan to make available over 350 social apartments intended for about 1,400 beneficiaries from six districts by this yearend.
