88 pieces of EU legislation to be transposed in 2013

The Government on Wednesday approved the 2013 National Legislation Harmonization Plan. Justice Minister Oleg Efrim said the plan includes 66 legislation measures that are relevant to Moldova's European integration measures. By adopting them, Moldova will transpose 88 pieces of EU legislation. According to the Minister, the harmonization will involve a number of areas, including technical barriers to trade; agriculture; consumer protection; energy; environment protection; public health; employment; security and justice; and others. The provisions of these pieces of legislation will be included in the chapters of the Association Agreement and of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement, which are expected to be signed in the fall of 2013, said Oleg Efrim. The minister added that the implementation of the plan implies concerted efforts from all authorities.
