The January heat bills for most of the apartments in Chisinau will be 1 000 to 1 500 lei, said the head of the municipal company “Infocom” Ion Margineanu. The heating of one square meter of apartment cost 24.73 lei, as against 19.86 lei in December, Info-Prim Neo reports. “86% of people will pay sums of up to 1 500 lei (102,000 apartments). Heat consumption in January was higher than last December, but lower than last January,” Ion Margineanu said Monday. About 21,000 apartments will pay up to 2 000 lei for heat, while over 4,000 apartments - more than 2 000 lei. “Compared with the previous month, we have five times more apartments that will pay over 2 000 lei for heat,” stated Ion Margineanu. The housing stock in January consumed heat of 177 million lei. In the same month of last year, the costs for heat totaled 142 million lei.
