A woman aged 85 died in pain after she was seriously injured in a fire caused by an electric stove. The woman crawled up to the door and managed to cry for help. The doctors could not yet save her. She inhaled fumes and sustained burns all over the body, Info-Prim Neo reports The fire happened on February 17 in Cairaclia village of Taraclia district. Emergencies Service spokeswoman Dorina Sochirca said the firefighters were called at about 1pm. It was established that a carpet caught fire from an electric stove. Other things in the house then started to burn. Employees of the Cairaclia mayor’s office said the woman lived with a grandchild. She had looked after him since he was ten as his father died and his mother married another man. When the tragedy happened, the 17-year-old boy was at school. The old woman also has a daughter, who lives in another village.
