Termocom cashed in 83.6% of the debts for their heating services. The payment rate increased by 4.9%, relative to last year’s same period. The data was presented on Monday, at the City Hall meeting, by Termocom vice-president Vasile Leu, reports Info-Prim Neo. Vasile Leu mentioned that greatest debts link to the housing stock. 60,000 out of 186,000, i.e. 30% of all consumers, have debts over 1,000 lei. Among the debtors are people whose heating service payments are reduced at the order of local authorities. According to Leu, flats are regularly inspected, but many debtors refuse to open their doors. Meanwhile, debtors are invited the District Heads’ Offices for talks. Some accept to reschedule their payment plans. 11,500 such plans were elaborated during June. Most of the times the only way to make debtors pay is through court. Vasile Leu mentioned that the number of debtors who are being sued is increasing. In order to avoid lawsuits, debtors are expected at Postal offices, bank branches, and at the “Termocom” commercial center (6 T. Vladimirescu Str.) to cover their debts.
