Eighty-three cases of infection with the novel coronavirus have been recorded today in Moldova after processing 801 samples. All the infections are local transmission cases, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.

Twenty cases were reported in the Transnistrian region, while 18 in Chisinau. The number of persons diagnosed with the novel coronavirus in Moldova so far stands at 3,980.

Thirteen of the cases of infection detected today involve healthcare workers. Four of these are employees of the Municipal Clinical Hospital “Saint Trinity.

As many as 1,272 infected persons recovered, while 122 succumbed to COVID-19 by now.
