The Moldovan customs officers arrested a 35-year-old driver from Soroca who was transporting 8 kilograms of marijuana and hashish assessed at 200,000 lei on the black market. The man was stopped at the Moldovan-Ukrainian customs post Otaci-Moghiliov-Podolsk, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Customs Service, the 4 kg of marijuana and 3.8 kg of hashish were found in the car’s reservoir. They were hidden in 14 plastic bottles of 1.5 liters. Ten of the bottles were filled with a dry green vegetal substance, while the rest with brown pressed slabs. The Customs Service started a criminal case. If the man is found guilty, he will serve up to 10 years in jail. This is the largest consignment of drugs seized so far this year.
