All the kindergartens in the capital city were connected to the centralized heating system, but 75 schools are not yet supplied with heat. The institutions are connected to the system at the request of managers, IPN reports.
In the ordinary Monday meeting of officials of municipal services, deputy education officer Andrei Pavaloi said that all the 127 kindergartens of Chisinau were connected to the centralized heating system last week. Of the 27 kindergartens of suburban settlements that are managed by the local mayor’s offices, only ten were connected.
Of the 107 pre-university education institutions, only 32 are supplied with heat. The other 75 will be connected to the centralized heating system when the principals ask for this. The weather this week is expected to be favorable. The principals usually ask to connect the institutions to the heat supply after the autumn vacation. This year the vacation starts on October 27, but all the schools will start to be supplied with heat if there are relevant requests or if the weather is cold.
In another development, Andrei Pavaloi said that 108 of the 131 secondary education institutions last week ensured the teaching process with physical presence of students in classrooms, while the rest applied the mixt model. As many as 3,310 students of 366 classes studied remotely in the period.
