71 blocks in Chisinau still without heat
Fifteen blocks in the city and fifty-six in Chisinau suburbs are still not connected to the centralised heating system as their managers or inhabitants are refusing to receive heat, deputy mayor Igor Lupulciuc stated during a meeting at the City Hall.
Deputy mayor Vlad Cotet mentioned that, from technical viewpoint, the blocks are ready to receive heat. However, there are 3 blocks in Ciocana district and 12 blocks in Rascani district which are still not connected.
Vlad Cotet says that the managers of 11 blocks didn’t even show up at Termocom to ask for a debt-rescheduling. Four blocks do not owe anything to the heat supplier, however their managers didn’t request authorisation to get the blocks connected.
The heads of the respective districts remarked that, to a great extent, the residents are willing to receive heat, but the managers believe that only by leaving the debtors freezing they will make them pay. These managers were invited to district offices to talk the issues over.
At present 2800 blocks of the existing 4680 residential buildings in Chisinau are recipients of district heating.
