70,000 foreigners visited Moldova on Wine Day and Chisinau’s Day
Approximately 70,000 foreign citizens came to Moldova during the National Wine Day and Chisinau’s Day, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Border Guard Service.
More than half a million crossings of the state border were recorded between October 5 and 16. 69,941 of the 140,000 foreigners who crossed the state border entered Moldova. The border crossing points Otaci, Valcinet, Tudora, Leuseni and the Chisinau International Airport were the most popular.
According to the statistics of the Border Guard Service, the number of foreigners visiting Moldova during the National Wine Day is on the rise. In 2009, the state border was crossed by 33,000 foreign citizens, while last year by over 45,000.
