A man aged 70 shot dead his 47-year-old wife out of jealousy. The man was accused of deliberate murder. The Chisinau City Prosecutor’s Office completed the investigation and sent the case to court, IPN reports.

In a press release, the Prosecutor General’s Office said the crime was committed at the couple’s home in central Chisinau in the evening of April 2. After having dinner, the woman went out to  the yard. The man went to look for her and found her discussing intimately with another man on social networking sites. Full of jealousy, he took the legally held gun and shot her in the chest. The woman died on the spot.

The man admitted his guilt and faces 15 to 20 years in jail or life.
