On the first day after the winter vacation, 7% of the students of Chisinau pre-university education institutions did not attend classes, managing specialist of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Nina Butucea has told Info-Prim Neo. Nina Butucea said that the reasons for which the students missed classes are varied. The students are sick, didn’t manage to reach Chisinau from their grandparents’ homes owing to the snowy roads or did not return from abroad where they vacationed. There are over 74,000 students in the pre-university education institutions of Chisinau municipality.
