All the pensions will be indexed by 4.83% as of April 1, 2020. The indexation coefficient represents the average annual growth of the consumer price indexes for the last three years, IPN has learned from the National House of Social Insurance.

The pensions of 682,194 recipients will be indexed on April 1. The indexation covers the old age pensions, pensions of public servants and customs employees and all the pensions set and recalculated in accordance with the law on the public pension system and the law on the social protection of persons affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, etc.

This way, the minimum old-age pension as of April 1 will be 1,131 lei, up from 1,079 lei at present. In case of severe disability, the minimum disability pension will be 848 lei, in case of accentuated disability - 792 lei, while in case of medium disability – 565 lei.

As of April 1, the state social benefits for 63,581 recipients and the care, accompanying and supervision allowances for 14,146 beneficiaries well be recalculated based on the size of the minimum old-age pension and the disability pension for severe, accentuated and medium disabilities.
