671 young education specialists received their labor field placement documents today. According to data from education divisions, in the academic year 2012-2013, over 700 young professionals can apply for teacher positions in schools throughout the country, reports Info-Prim Neo. According to the Ministry of Education, after the distribution most of the empty slots left are for teachers of Mathematics and Physics. The reason behind it is the insufficient number of graduates relative to the necessary number of faculty. In the academic year 2011-2012 the number of graduates with pedagogic degrees was 2378 from universities, and 798 from colleges. According to the regulation of the Fund for support young faculty in rural areas, the youth who accept to be dispatched to schools in rural areas would benefit from a one-time 30,000 lei subsidy for university graduates, and 24,000 lei for college graduates.
