67 small-scale heat supply stations launched in Chisinau's Buiucani district
Sixty-seven small-scale heat supply stations were installed in Chisinau's Buiucani district to provide heat to 26 apartment buildings, 3 schools and 2 kindergartens, Info-Prim Neo learned from the Chisinau City Hall's press service.
The project, valued at 670,000 euros, was funded by the Government of Sweden.
According to Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, the launching of these stations is one of the steps toward Termocom's modernization. “This mean less expenses, more efficiency and flexibility”, he said.
Dorin Chirtoaca said that a modern heat supply station in a building allows its inhabitants turn on or off the heat whenever they need it, without waiting for the heating season to begin or end officially.
“Next year, we want to install new heat supply stations in each district of the capital”, said Mihai Cernei, Termocom general director.
These stations turn on automatically when the air temperature drops below a certain value and begin providing the dwellers with warmth and hot water.
Overall, 3,600 small-scale heat supply stations are expected to be installed in Chisinau.
