66 children’s homes received computers
66 family-type children’s homes in 21 districts received a computer each. The campaign was implemented by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family in partnership with a mobile telephony company, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“It’s a beautiful and generous action. If you bring a smile on a child’s face, then you made him happy. We’re glad 340 kids now have access to information and can grow and get smarter”, said Minister Valentina Buliga during a press conference on Tuesday.
Two families attended the conference and thanked the organizers, hoping other similar projects would be carried out.
Representatives of the mobile telephony company said the ministry offered full support to this initiative. The next step is providing Internet to those places that aren’t connected yet. So far, 400,000 children in Moldovan benefited from the company’s programs.
23 of the 66 children’s homes that received computers are already connected to the Internet.
