A man aged 65 from Telenești district was found carbonized as a result of a fire in his house. The fire that engulfed the bed linen stopped burning itself and firefighters weren’t called out. Another two persons suffered carbon monoxide poisoning in Ursoaia village of Căușeni district after they used a faulty stove, IPN reports.
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations said a man aged 86 and an 84-year-old woman were rushed to the hospital by an ambulance after they got poisoned with fumes emitted by a faulty stove in the afternoon of January 2.
The Inspectorate urges the people to obey the fire safety rules, especially when using heating sources and to put the fire out in the stove at night and not to leave furniture, clothes or other flammable objects close to heaters. In emergencies, one can call the 112 Service.
