Fourteen additional groups with a capacity of 420 children will be opened this year in Chisinau’s preschool system, IPN reports.

Municipal education chief Rodica Guțu told the City Hall’s ordinary Monday meeting that several repurposed institutions will additionally re-open as preschool establishments.  

In total this year, there will be opened 64 preschool groups, with a capacity of about 2,000 places.

ToRs were already developed, estimates were approved and contracts were partially signed for minor pre-season repairs in kindergartens. The municipal education directorate also plans extensive repairs in 23 kindergartens.
