Sixty winemakers will present their products in the Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau on the National Wine Day during October 6-7, 2018. The event will be officially opened at 11am, IPN reports.
A number of masterclasses guided by professional sommeliers will take place as part of the Wine School. The participants will learn how to consciously consume wine.
The craftsmen’s area will host an exhibition of handmade objects. There will also be improvised a peasant yard where a wine making process will be staged, with barrels, wine press, grapes, osier knitted baskets and, surely, with the owners of the yard.
The guests could visit a painting area and purchase paintings. Those who will want to discover Moldova’s Wine could go on thematic tours from the center of Chisinau to the origins of high-quality wines all over the country.
The organizers will provide the guests with the Taster’s Coupon that will enable to taste 11 wines and a favorite wine during the two days of the event. The price of a voucher is 150 lei before the National Wine Day and 200 lei on the day of the event. This can be bought at the entrance.
Those who will purchase the voucher could go to the tent of the National Office of Vine and Wine in the central square of Chisinau to receive a tritan glass and a portable glass. The voucher could also be used to get a 20% discount on the promotional articles Wine of Moldova, such as caps, T-shirts and glasses, brochures with the program of the National Wine Day 2018 and a map with the location of the stands.
During the two days, folkloric groups from all over the country will give performances downtown. The evening concerts will feature pop music singers and bands.
The 17th National Wine Day is devoted to the Moldova wines with Protected Geographical Indication, which is a guarantee of their quality.
