60 cases of flu confirmed in Moldova
The number of confirmed flue cases grew to 60 in Moldova, Petru Scoferta, laboratory head at the National Scientific Practical Center of Preventive Medicine, has told Info-Prim Neo. Twenty-seven of the infected persons are children.
About 7,000 cases of viral infection were recorded during the third week of the year, as against approximately 5,000 a week before.
According to Petru Scoferta, the situation is typical of the cold season and there are no reasons for concern. At the same time, the prophylactic measures should not be neglected.
Doctors recommend washing the hands with soap as often as possible, using antibacterial substances, avoiding crowded places, eating more fruit and vegetables, avoiding contact with infected persons, and seeing a doctor when the first flu symptoms appear.
