The measure allowing the HoReCa sector to enjoy a reduced VAT rate of 6% is extended until April 24, clarifies the Moldovan Association of Restaurants and Recreation Venues MAR, after obtaining confirmation in this regard from the Ministry of Finance.

Law no. 76/2021 provides for the applicability of the 6% VAT rate during the state of emergency in public health and/or during the state of emergency declared by Parliament.

The state of emergency in public health declared by the Extraordinary National Commission for Public Health has been canceled starting April 16, but the state of emergency announced by Parliament on February 24 remains in force for a period of 60 days, i.e. until April 24.
