A sum of 5 million lei will be allocated this year from the National Regional Development Fund for rehabilitating the historical-architectural monument Pommer Mansion and the access roads to the dendrological park in Taul village of Donduseni district, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction.
As a result of a visit paid by acting Minister Marcel Raducan to Taul, it was established that more money is needed to complete the project, while the local public administration will need financial support to achieve all the proposed objectives.
The mayor of the village said that if the necessary measures aren’t taken in the near future, the state of the park will worsen. “Now we are preparing another project that will be supported by the Czech Embassy. We will bring animals and will create a real zoological garden, as the one that existed earlier,” he stated.
The mayor’s office of Taul submitted the project and asked allocating about 23 million lei from the National Regional Development Fund for rehabilitating the area. The project forms part of the third priority of the North Regional Development Strategy - improvement of environmental factors and tourist attractiveness. The key objective is to rehabilitate the infrastructure of the tourist area Taul.
