The 5G network will be tested in Moldova next year. Together with the implementation of the new technology, the data transfer speed will increase and the response time will improve. The issue was discussed in a meeting of Prime Minister Pavel Filip, deputy chief executive officer of the Orange Group Ramon Fernandez and chief executive officer in charge of European operations Jean-Marc Vignolles, IPN reports.
According to the Government’s press service, besides the plans to invest in the 5G network, Orange also intends to develop mobile financial services that will enable to make payments online in the country and abroad through the agency of cellphones, including payments for public utilities and transfers from person to person.
Pavel Filip said the executive remains focused on the creation of a business environment that will be attractive to investors and would offer the companies the possibility of developing, brining benefits to the citizens and contributing to the country’s economic growth. In this connection, he spoke about the taken measures such as the reduction in the number of permissive documents, modernization of the Labor Code and implementation of the one-stop shop concept.
For his part, Ramon Fernandez said they appreciate what the Government does for the business community as these actions encourage them to come here with new investments.
