The National Regulatory Agency on Electronic Communication and Information Technology (ANRCETI) last year registered 59 companies licensed to provide electronic communication services.

ANRCETI said in a press release that of the total 512 providers registered, 229 or 44.7% are providers that entered the market recently, and 283 or 55.3% are providers that have previously operated on this market based on licenses issued before 2008.

The most demanded licenses are those for internet networks and access services, rebroadcasting services and data transmission services.
