Fifty-four new infections with the novel coronavirus were recorded in Moldova on May 25. Of those infected, four are healthcare workers. The number of infections now totals 7,147, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.

Only one case of the 54 new infections was imported. A number of 478 tests have been performed today.

By now, 3,802 persons have been cured. 261 infected persons lost the battle with the disease, 11 deaths being reported on May 25.

In addition to the six deaths from COVID-19 announced in the morning, the Ministry also informed about the deaths of three men and two women aged between 53 and 76. They were from Chisinau and from the districts of Soroca and Sîngerei.
