53 parties and sociopolitical organizations can compete in snap parliamentary elections

Fifty-three 53 parties and sociopolitical organizations can run in the July 11 snap parliamentary elections. The list of these was published by the Central Election Commission today, based on a response that came from the Public Services Agency, IPN reports.

According to CEC deputy chairman Vladimir Șarban, the parties and other sociopolitical organizations that were registered by the Public Services Agency by April 28, when the election date was announced, can compete as election contenders.

Among the last parties registered in Moldova are the Party of Change led by lawyer Ștefan Gligor, the People Power Party headed by former acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu and the Party of Development and Union of Moldova that was founded and is managed by ex-Premier Ion Chicu.
