52 streets of Chisinau cleared of broken trees and branches

In the course of April 27, there were performed 764 trips to take broken trees and branches out of Chisinau, Gennady Barbu, head of the general staff of the Civil Protecting and Emergencies Service has said, quoted by IPN.

As many as 52 streets of Chisinau have been cleared so far. The police officers involved in the cleanup effort started work at 5am and will continue until 11pm, and will yet return tomorrow morning.

The residents of Chisinau are urged to use public transport, not personal cars so not to cause traffic jams and to facilitate the collection of broken trees and branches.

Simultaneously, there were performed works to pump water out of yards in Straseni and Cahul districts and in ATU Gagauzia. There are now no risks of flooding.

Eighteen villages in six districts remain disconnected from the power supply.
