Tax revenues from individuals who rent out property amounted to 52 million lei in 11 months of this year, over 40% more than in the same period of last year.

The State Fiscal Service says that checks were carried out on 388 individual property owners, which resulted in over 1 million lei being collected in overdue tax and fines.

During the 11 months, 23,008 property leasing contracts were registered, or 23.3% more than in the similar period of 2022.

Individuals who do not carry out entrepreneurial activity and who transfer the possession or use of real estate to other individuals, including through the use of online platforms, are required to register the contracts with the State Fiscal Service.
