If parliamentary elections were held next Sunday, the Party of Communists (PCRM) would poll 31.1% of the vote. 22.4% of the voters have not yet decided who to vote for. These are the results of the Public Opinion Barometer (BOP) that was presented on Monday, Info-Prim Neo reports. The PCRM’s rating decreased by 5.1% from the previous poll conducted before the April 5 elections, when 36.2% of the respondents said they supported this party. According to the survey, 13.2% of those questioned would vote for the Liberal Party (PL), 9.6% - for the Democratic Party (PDM), while 7.2% - for the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM). Only 2.6% would choose the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN). The election threshold is 5%. In the future legislative body, the PCRM would have 51-52 seats, while the Opposition composed this time of the PL, PLDM and PDM would hold 49-50 seats, said Arcadie Barbarosie, director of the Public Policy Institute. 22.4% of the respondents are yet undecided, 6.3% - did not want to answer this question, while 4.8% said they would not vote. Igor Botan, executive director of the Association for Participative Democracy (ADEPT) and member of the BOP jury, said that the current results are different from the March results, adding that the PCRM’s ascending rating now decreases. The survey was carried out between June 26 and July 10 on a sample of 1,534 persons older than 18 from 115 settlements, except the Transnistrian region. The margin of error is plus-minus 2.5%. The poll was commissioned by the Public Policy Institute and conducted by the Centre for Sociological Investigations and Market Studies CBS-AXA.
