500 places set up for Ukrainian refugees at Arena Sport in Ciorescu

After over 700 sleeping places for Ukrainian refugees were provided at the Chisinau Arena, another 500 places are now being set up at the Arena Sport in Ciorescu commune of the municipality of Chisinau, IPN reports.



Brazilian footballer Daniel Junio de Jesus Nascimento, of VPK-Ahro Shevchenkivka team of the Ukrainina Premier League, was among the first to visit the center in Ciorescu. He arrived in Moldova last night and was lodged in Vadul lui Vodă. Owing to the war, the footballer got lost and could not leave Ukraine earlier. The Moldovan Football Federation accommodated foreign players of the two top Ukrainian teams Dinamo Kiev and Shakhtar Donetsk and their family members in Moldova.

Also, under the aegis of the UEFA Foundation for Children, the Moldovan Football Federation sent the first TIR truck with aid for the refugees, such as food, medicines and blankets, to Ukraine.



A point to collect goods for the refugees was opened at the Federation’s head office situated at 39 Tricolorului St in Chisinau.
