500-600 allowed to Chancellor’s speech on a first-come-first-serve basis
Those who would like to listen to German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s speech, but do not have a special invitation to the Republican Palace, will be able to watch the event on the screens installed in front of the institution. People’s access to the separate space will be allowed starting 3:00pm, through the police filters installed at the intersection of Streets Bucuresti and Maria Cibotari.
State Protection and Guard Service (SPPS) Chief Igor Bodorin told Info-Prim Neo that about 500-600 people will have access to the area in front of the Republican Palace, first come first serve.
Those who will not manage to enter that zone will be able to listen to the speech on Bucuresti Street, towards Sfatul Tarii Str. Upon passing through the police filters people will be scanned with metal detectors. Igor Bodorin says that the citizens will not be requested to present IDs.
Angela Merkel will give her speech at the Republican Palace, starting 6:00pm.
