420 national companies to take part in “Made in Moldova” exhibit

As many as 420 companies from Moldova announced their participation in this year’s edition of the exhibition and fair “Made in Moldova” that will take place at “Moldexpo” between January 31 and February 4. Besides companies from Moldova, the exhibition will involve companies from another ten countries, including Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Romania, Turkey, and Iran, IPN reports.

Sergiu Harea, chairman of the Chamber of Trade and Industry, told a news conference that such a record figure, compared with 370 companies that took part in the exhibit in 2017, shows that this event has gained in popularity. The participating companies will display their products in three pavilions that are 3,100 square meters in area.

“The exhibition this year is entitled “Made in Moldova, made for you”. Emphasis is placed on the promotion of new products and services among visitors and on the establishment of contracts with potential partners in order to diversify production and export markets,” stated Sergiu Harea.

The additional program of the exhibit includes presentations by the Customs Service, the Tax Service and the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure and the traditional Job Fair. The Chamber of Trade and Industry will hold two roundtables.

A business forum will be staged as part of the event in Cahul town on February 1. This will center on the promotion of investment opportunities in the southern districts of Moldova and will involve about 60 representatives of companies from Moldova and invitees who will have meetings with 200 business entities from the southern region.

Last year, the exhibition “Made in Moldova” was visited by about 45,000 people.
