The vaccines distributed to the national health facilities have been 25% to 42% used. Most of the persons from risks groups were vaccinated in Straseni and Soroca districts and in Chisinau municipality, IPN reports.

The National Public Health Center said the benefits of flu vaccination include the diminution of the risks of developing the severe forms of disease, reduction in the number of infections and visits to doctors and prevention of hospitalization and deaths caused by flu.

Last week, the rate of acute respiratory infections was of average intensity. In the case of 17 persons, the flu virus A(H3N2) was confirmed.
