The national operator Moldtelecom in cooperation with Chisinau's Education Division installed wi-fi hotspots in 42 schools in the capital.

When school starts on September 1, students in these schools will be able to enjoy free access to the Internet, the company announced in a press release.

The project comes in response to the needs and expectations of the young generation, says the company. Access to the Internet will be available from any device, especially during breaks between classes, both inside schools and, in some cases, on adjacent spaces.

The equipment for this project was offered for free by Moldtelecom. The company now looks to extend to wi-fi hotspot project to other schools across the country.
