4 hospitals to launch web sites in pilot project
Four medical entities from Moldova will launch their web sites in a pilot project. The pages were developed by IT specialists employed by a Program called “Good Governance”. The sites will be tested from December 1, and the move is part of the Country Threshold Program of Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Health Minister Larisa Catrinici says the sites will offer more transparency to the activity of those entities and will help fight corruption in the healthcare system.
“All the healthcare entities will have their pages. The sites will allow patients to set their visiting hours and to get informed,” she said.
“The sites are user-friendly. The public will have access to infos about every medical entity what will substantially improve the scheduling process,” a advisor for the “Good Governance” Program, Roger Vaughan, said.
Fighting and preventing corruption in the healthcare system is carried out through the Good Governance Program. The program is financed by the US Millennium Challenge Corporation and run by USAID as part of the Country Threshold Program for Moldova.
