Thirty-five students asked for special examination conditions in the current Baccalaureate session on health grounds.
Natalia Screlea, senior specialist of the Communication and Public Relations Division of the Ministry of Education, has told IPN that an individual specialist will be assigned to examine each candidate who is unable to write or read the test. The candidates with serious neurological-motor or visual impairments can ask the time allotted for the written test paper to be extended by 60 minutes and/or by 120 minutes in case of the foreign language exam.
They can ask to adjust the area to the particularities of the disability, such as architectural access to the building and the examination hall, adjusted sanitary facilities, special lighting, separation from a big group, reduction or amplification of the visual or auditory stimuli.
A number of 34 students asked for special examination conditions in the Baccalaureate session last year.
