Some 330 students and their teachers from the Republican Lycee with Real Profile have attended their first lesson this year in Vocational School 9. It was sadness that dominated the assembly dedicated to the first school day. The knowledge day was a separation day from their school both for students and teachers. The schoolmaster Anatol Cumpana has told Info-Prim Neo the debut of the new school year passes in foreign classes, which cannot not able to all the lycee students. Several rooms from their dormitory have be used for the purpose. The schoolmaster says the uncertain situation in which the Real High School happens to be is because of the central authorities' will to expand the Children and Youth Creation Center, not taking into account that the students are part of the Moldovan youth. According to Anatol Cumpana, a solution may be the offer of the State University's rector, Gheorghe Cecan, to offer rooms to the lycee after the fall vacation, as the lycee is affiliated to this university. Till then, the students and teachers are to leave the rooms they have used since 1994 and to study in the afternoon in Vocational School 9 and in their dorm. He fears both the teachers and students may start leaving the school. Present at the school year start meeting, the parliamentarian Ion Varta has said he came to support the students and teachers and he is brokering a solution to the problem with the central authorities. 450-500 students studied in the Real Lycee in the grades 6 to 9. This year, the high school was ordered to decrease to 4 the number grade 9 classes and the number of students went down to 328.
