A man aged 32 lost the battle with COVID-19. He was from Șoldănești district and was being treated at the district hospital. He is among the 16 victims whose deaths were announced by the Ministry of Health on February 9, IPN reports.

The death toll from COVID-19 now stands at 3,573. The number of infections rose to 165,663 after 805 new cases were reported today after performing 3,385 tests, 3,027 of which were primary ones.

There are 7,646 active cases. Of the 3,021 patients with COVID-19 who are now in hospitals, 226 are in a very serious state and 34 of them were put on a ventilator.
