A number of 306 polling places will be established in the municipality of Chisinau for the May 20 new mayoral elections.

Contacted by IPN, Vitalie Miron, secretary of the Chisinau District Electoral Council, said that for the referendum on the removal of mayor held in November 20017 there were opened 307 polling places. The polling place in Vaduleni village was joined to the polling place of Vadul Nou owing to the reduction in the number of voters there.

Vitalie Miron noted that several polling places in Centru district of Chisinau will have different addresses. The local voters will be informed about this also by invitations to elections that will be put in their mailboxes.

As many as 58 polling places will be established in the municipality of Balti for the mayoral elections.
