The Government has allocated over 300,000 lei from the state budget for paying compensations to the rehabilitated victims of political repression. The money will be transferred to the district councils of Dubasari (247 951 lei), Nisporeni (2 154 lei) and Taraclia (148 054 lei), Info-Prim Neo reports. The compensations were set by special commissions created to assess the property lost by the rehabilitated victims of political repression, but the district councils do not have financial resources to cover the related costs. Thus, the Government decided to allot money from the state budget so as to fulfill the promises made to this group of people and avoid complaints to the European Court of Human Rights.
