More than 5,000 applications for government-subsidized places and 80 applications for full-tuition places were submitted at the first stage of admission to secondary technical vocational education institutions. The institutions offered a total 8,270 subsidized places and a little over 560 full-tuition ones. More than 500 applications have been submitted for professional training programs through dual education.
Among the most in demand occupations during this year’s admission are car mechanic, autobody repair mechanic, chef and confectioner. Most applications were submitted to the Center of Excellence in Transport, the Center of Excellence in Construction, and the Center of Excellence in Economy and Finance. Some professions, such as forester, adjuster of technological equipment, maker of wooden art objects, were less attractive for participants in the admission contest.
The second round of admission is scheduled for August 17-25. Applicants can make their submissions either physically by going to the respective institutions, or digitally, via the vocational education information system https://eadmitere.sime.md.
